New Pictures: Rally Yellow HPE700 LS9 Camaro

If you’ve been following Hennessey Performance’s exploits with the LS9-powered HPE700 Camaro, then you’ve seen the 725 HP monster in the same Cyber Gray Metallic with blue stripes as our original concept renderings.

While Cyber Gray  is an amazing color, it lacks a certain “pop” that really turns heads from afar.

And there’s no color for the 2010 Camaro more recognizable to the public at large than Rally Yellow (thanks to the tremendous success of Transformers and Bumblebee loving kids everywhere). Even as the Camaros become more commonplace, onlookers still get wound up at the sight of a yellow 5th gen rolling by (especially if it has a pair of black stripes).

Hennessey Performance’s first well-known Rally Yellow 2010 Camaro was the same HPE650 featured in both Hot Rod and Motor Trend magazines.

And now there’s another notable HPE Camaro cloaked in this eye-popping shade… with even more “sting” this time around.

Tackling the Twisties in an HPE700 LS9 Camaro

Go for a ride-along in the first HPE700 LS9 Camaro as it traverses the curves of MSR Houston’s road course in the latest HPE video to hit YouTube.

With the LS9′s blower wailing down the straights and its Michelin PS2′s screaming during 1G turns, our test driver pushed the 725 HP Camaro to the limits in order to dial-in the HPE700′s KW Variant 3 coilovers, adjustable sway bars and larger wheel / tire combo.

Hennessey-Powered Camaro at North Pole

One of our recent customers, Rolando, sent us a few pictures of his 2010 Camaro SS taken at North Pole, Alaska. (And he’s hoping to find a clear day where he can get a few shots of Mt. McKinley in the background.)

We’re pretty certain he’s right when he says he thinks his car is the furthest-north Hennessey-powered Camaro to date.

Rolando’s Cyber Gray SS/RS features our HPE Cold Air Intake, a set of American Racing long tube headers, a custom HPE computer tune and a KW Variant 1 coilover suspension. He’s also replaced his factory wheels with a set of 22″ Giovannas.

HPE700 Camaro Makes WebRidesTV's Top 10 at SEMA

SEMA ended nearly three weeks ago, but the buzz continues to resonate. After all, SEMA is a showcase of the new, flashy and future of the aftermarket industry. When it comes to this event, what happens in Vegas definitely doesn’t stay secret for long.

Plenty of polls and top lists have popped up in the wake of this year’s show, and the folks at WebRidesTV have compiled their own Top 10 List of Cars.

And smack  in the middle — #5 on their list — is the Hennessey HPE700 Camaro.
