News Cameras Roll at Hennessey Performance

abc13

Over the summer, our local ABC News affiliate — Channel 13 in Houston — visited our facility to do a story on Hennessey Performance, our Tuner School program and the dragstrip at Lonestar Motorsports Park.

The segment aired last night, and in case you missed it (or more likely — you don’t live in Houston), they made it available online.

It has something for almost anybody: GM, Ford, Dodge and Nissan’s GT-R spinning all four wheels on our Dyno Dynamics all-wheel-drive dyno.

There’s a Corvette ZR700 making passes down the track… a new 2010 HPE600 Camaro in the showroom (with more perched outside)… Jason Stevens and his now record-setting Ford GT… a Cadillac CTS V650… and even an 1,800 HP twin turbo Dodge Viper Comp Coupe (a previous record-setter itself).

Not bad for a brief standard-format news segment.

Monterey 2009 – Hennessey at Gordon Mcall's Motorworks Revival

mcall550

We kicked off HPE’s recent visit to Monterey at Gordon McCall’s Motorworks Revival at The Monterey Jet Center. It’s a VIP event packed with the hottest modern and classic cars and aircraft around. Everything from vintage warbirds and racers to the latest exotics and custom rods show up all in one spot. It was quite a sight (and a gearhead’s dream) to be surrounded by so many different, yet awesome, pieces of machinery. And we were fortunate enough to have a few of our own vehicles up front flanking an F/A-18 Hornet.

Check out the Hennessey ZR1 and HPE550 2010 Camaro in Road & Track magazine’s coverage of the event:

Dyno Video: Twin Turbo 2009 Viper ACR – 1,024 rwhp

Venom 1000 ACR

We recently put the finishing touches on one of our latest Gen-4 (2008-2009) Viper Venom 1000 twin turbo builds and strapped it on the dyno for tuning.

What happened next was nothing short of astonishing:

The car made an incredible 1,024 rear-wheel-horsepower at just 13 lbs of boost on 93-octane pump gas!

Even at a meager 6 lbs, the car pushed over 800 to the wheels.

Pictures coming soon!

Come See HPE at Monterey this Weekend

monterey

If you’re heading out to Monterey for this weekend’s classic car extravaganza, come pay us a visit at Laguna Seca Raceway (or rather Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca as its called now), where the Monterey Historic Automobile Races are being held.

On Saturday the 16th (that’s tomorrow!) we’re going to have a display of some of our vehicles  on the infield for all to see. There will be a few of our HPE 2010 Camaros in attendence, a Ford GT 1000, our 700+ hp ZR1 and a twin turbo Venom 1000 Viper.

If you’ve ever wanted to get up close and personal with a fleet Hennessey vehicles, you’re not going to want to miss this event. Hope to see you there!

See for yourself how well it pays off (to the tune of 592 rear wheel horsepower!):
