During the 2011 Goodwood Festival of Speed Hillclimb, the Bugatti Veyron SS had been lined up directly in front of the Hennessey Venom GT. But at the starting line, inexplicably, the Bugatti driver moves aside, prompting the Venom GT piloted by John Heinricy to be ushered ahead to conduct its run.
It was all captured on cameras affixed to the Venom, and raised some eyebrows as to why the Veyron yielded its turn.
Jalopnik’s Bill Caswell was riding shotgun in the Venom GT when it all went down and wrote about the incident along with his experience as a passenger storming the hill.
